PlatformCMS is a consultancy that manages the roll out of open source website solutions in such a way that the meet the specific needs of small to medium sized businesses. The core competency of PlatfromCMS is our research and knowledge around the available open source solutions and our application of that knowledge to different business needs.

This may sound confusing, but it’s really as simple as this: I’ll give it to you in football fields. There are at least 100 000 football fields worth of open source code available for free on the internet. Our developers are really good at finding [and improving on if need be] the best code out there to create a website solution that is affordable, powerful and perfectly suited to the clients needs.

PlatformCMS is focused on delivering content management systems (CMS). This simply means that you as the client can update your website in a simple and user friendly way. This in turn reduces the ongoing maintenance costs associated with owning a web site and increases the likelihood of ongoing success.

PlatformCMS engages with clients in one of two ways. The first way we call “re-active” where a business with a web site need contacts us and we engage in consulting with them and delivering a proposal for the best solution. The second way we refer to as “pro-active” where we pre-package a best solution for a particular industry after researching that industries particular web site needs and delivering the solution as a product (including brochures, demos, manuals and support) with a fixed setup and monthly price.

“There are a large number companies delivering CMS solutions to SME’s worldwide” says Peter Flynn, Managing Director of White Wall Web international, “but our solution has an edge in that we are not delivering our own proprietary software, but instead leveraging on the many open source solutions already available. This means the likelihood of a best solution for our clients is greatly increased and we can objectively evaluate all available options and provide a ‘best solution’ in the true sense of the phrase.”
