Express Air ServicesWhite Wall Web have begun the second phase of a project to build software for Express Air Services (EAS), a subsidiary of BidVest.

“We are pleased to be working with such a prominent South African company and are proud of what we have already achieved,” says Peter Flynn, MD of White Wall Web International.
The project has now moved into the Design Phase which will encompass specifying in detail how the system will be structured, laid out and operate. This will include XML to detail requirements, model (database) design, defining all the business logic (controllers) and designing all screens (views).

The Design Phase will thus specify the entire desired system and a role out plan, with short, medium and long term milestones, that could span up to two years.

“After we have specified in detail the big picture system, we will set out to build it in modules, delivering the most important aspects first,” says Andrew Keggie, White Wall Web Project Manager on the EAS project.

“The system will be built using the .NET framework,” says Keggie. “It will be required to interface with numerous other programmes internationally which will require a robust and complex application programme interface.”

Currently EAS operates in 11 nations, servicing various carriers, and the company is expanding rapidly. “Their growth is phenomenal” says Flynn, “and we look forward to servicing them with excellence and ensuring that their systems scale accordingly.”

White Wall Web has offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg and the UK and has expanded at a growth rate of over 100% per annum for the past 4 years.
